The Son is Coming...

Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,”[i]who is Christ. 17 And this I say, that the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ,[j] that it should make the promise of no effect. 18 For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

Galatians 3:26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Promises and faith... The bible is clear about the faith that Abraham relied on while the evidence of his promise was no where to be seen. He was promised a child... even more than this... sand of the sea... Genesis 15:4.

Good news from The Lord is always fun and full of excitement. Yet, waiting for the manifest promise of the Lord might be something that grinds us down to the very core of our being. Abraham was old, "seed-dead," and many years had gone by since the promise was given. Questions in his mind may have been, "Did God forget about me?" "What if God decided to change his mind about my promise since I screwed up with Ishmael?"

There is a Son coming... to us.  God has promised this to all of humanity just as Abraham's children would affect all of humanity. Yet, the promise was only accomodated by those who had faith. It is by faith that we accept the promises and partake as heirs of the kingdom.

Do we believe the promise that there is a Son coming? Or are we bystanders of those who actually are living the faith--->promise life? What is your excuse?
  • It is been too long since Jesus died and rose...
  • People today are too corrupt...
  • People today are more advanced...
  • Every eye shall see Him cannot be literal so it cannot be true...
  • I am too busy to even think of this... I will enjoy life for a time and then get serious (consider the oil lamps parable Matthew 25:1-13).

Luke 18:1-8 Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, 2 saying: “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. 3 Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, ‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’ 4 And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man, 5 yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’”6 Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. 7 And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? 8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”
